After a long wait for cricket in USA, it is coming out of coma. It was in a deep sleep for almost a decade. In this era, sports is no more than just a symbol of recreation. It is a vibrant commercial avenue for people on and off the field. The world economy always looks at the US market. Efforts from various sections of people are slowly convincing the authorities that cricket can be a giant money spinner, just like in India.

Commercial Cricket League is being rolled out, and foreign players are slowly stepping into it. The game is getting introduced in middle schools in Frisco, Texas. It sows the seeds of cricket. US has a long history of importing excellent talent from other countries and make them US nationals. The list of Olympic medals says it loud and clear. Now, perhaps the same thing is going to happen for cricket. Already, couple of foreign players have joined the USA Commercial League. Now, it is the right time for the local players to prove their worth and book a seat for the national side. Now, cricket in USA is no more a symbol of recreation for the cricket enthusiasts. It is one of the best sporting careers. NASA, Intel, Microsoft, Medical Doctors the list is endless, the Asians mainly the Indians lead the progress. So, why not USA cricket be the next crown for the Indians?

The recent mankad incident in IPL match was more in the talks rather than the outcome of the game. It overshadowed the splendid batting display by both Gayle and Jos. Suddenly Ashwin looked to me talking like a lawyer trying to defend himself. The spirit of the game should be held much higher than winning it. IPL is not just a cricket event, it’s the fusion of glamour and cricket. My simple question is, would he have done the same playing under MS Dhoni or Kohli. I think he should try this once he is playing with RCB with Kohli and taste the results.

The recent barbaric act at Christchurch sparked a debate in heaven. An immediate meeting with all the stake holders of our plant earth was called. Lord Shiva , Jesus and Muhammad too joined the meeting.

Shiva was angry as usual  and  asked  “what type of creature is this?” Jesus replied after a brief pause “It looks like a human, but it has the cruelty of the deadliest monster we are yet to create.”  Muhammad joined in and said , “How can a human be so deadly ?”  Shiva interrupted and questioned , “Is that  an alien  from outer galaxy ?”  

Jesus  confirmed “It’s not an alien but just one of the humans we created.”  Muhammad  lamented , “ It’s really a fault on our part.” Shiva asked , “how can we ensure that is not repeated again.”  All the delegates went into deep thinking and had no answer.  Jesus broke the silence  “We cannot change anything now, we have to wait for them to reach the highest level and then we can reset it and then repair it.”
